WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THE DUTCH HOUSE MARKET
18 March 2021 — Rabobank expects a stronger rise in house prices. House prices are likely to rise much faster this year than previously expected. Rabobank economists now anticipate an average increase of 8%, continuing at the pace of the previous two years. The revision is notable because the bank expected the housing market to cool at the end of last year. Economic prospects have improved thanks to better-than-expected unemployment figures and the global vaccination rollout. Housing supply remains tight and mortgage interest rates remain very low, making bids above the asking price more common.
